- Determination of physical properties of brush materials for electric machines according to SR CEI 60413: 1997.
Characterization and data interpretation
- Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM), high resolution transmission microscopy (HRTEM) and optical microscopy;
- grain size, proportion and phase distribution, porosity, layer thickness;
- identification of crystalline phases, determination of elemental cell parameters and crystallite size from X-ray diffraction spectra;
- determining the electrical resistance of a filament in a carbon fiber toron by the four point probe method;
- determining the specific surface area and volume of micropores using the BET method.
