Brief presentation of INCDIE ICPE‑CA
The Work Point CORBU ICPE-CA was founded by ICPE‑CA Bucharest in 2011 as a necessity for enhancing
the institute’s research and development area, becoming a major milestone in the institute in research and
development of the research partnerships, including cross‑border partnerships, in the field of environmental
protection and preservation as well as of the renewable energy. The modern research infrastructure allows
approaching of complex multidisciplinary studies nature (including fluvial, coastal and marine).
The “Alexandru Proca” Center for the Youngsters Initiation in Scientific Research (CICST) was established
in 2013 as a unique initiative at national level. Starting with 2016, CICST took the name Alexandru Proca
in memory of the great Romanian scientist, who was nominated for the Nobel Prize for works in the field of
microparticles. This experimental center aims to attract young researchers with well‑known scientific and
technical activity in the national and international scientific environment and is addressed to all college students
with outstanding school performance, who want to benefit from additional training in scientific research.
”Alexandru Proca” Center has obtained national and international recognition through numerous awards at
national and international competitions in science and technology: ROSEF 2018 (Romania ‑ 4 gold medals;
th
2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal) and Intel ISEF 2019 (USA ‑ 4 place out of 75 countries / 1323 topics).
INCDIE ICPE‑CA has an integrated experimental platform with unique character in Romania ‑ platform for
testing and characterizing of equipment and materials specific to increase the energy efficiency in electrical
engineering and capitalizing on renewable energy sources ‑ accepted as an objective of national interest for
inclusion in the IOSIN list (draft GD and the Substantiation Note of regarding the installations and special
objectives of national interest and the approval of the List of installations and special objectives of national
interest financed from the funds of the Ministry of Research and Innovation (http://www.research.gov.ro/ro/
articol/1029 / projects of normative‑acts)).
